Summer 2012

Some of our regular activities this summer...

Picking up cheese every Sunday from the Cheese Cave in Claremont. Elle's favorite is the Lamb Chopper

 Farmers Market in Claremont

Cooling down in Claremont

Morning jogs with mom (and a few of Elle's pals)

We tried to escape the horrible heat wave by heading down to Newport as much as possible

Brunch at The Dock, yum!

Big Girl Milestones

I've said this before but I don't get too sentimental about Elle growing up. I love watching her grow-up and see her accomplish things that she couldn't do just a week ago. Here are some of her "big girl" milestones from this past sumer.

 Big Girl Bed

 French Braid Pigtails

Drinking out of a non-sippy cup straw

Picking out her own clothes (even if it means a pink fuzzy jacket on a 90 degree summer evening)

Sponge Curlers

Elle the Artist

Elle loves art. She loves stickers, crayons, markers, chalk and is especially partial to paint. What's a mom to do when she doesn't want to pull out the drop cloth for a 15 minute activity? Bath tub painting of course. I saw this idea on pinterest and it worked wonderfully! Just two drops of food coloring in a scoop of shaving cream in a muffin tin and voila! This little one had fun for a good hour and clean-up was a breeze.

We're back...

This blog has been quite for a good part of a year now, mostly due to this little peanut...

We found out we were expecting baby #2 in late spring. I suffered horrible morning sickness the first trimester and could barely make it to work let alone do much else. Then life got busy, you know having a 2 year-old and everything. Well this little peanut is also the reason I'm going to start posting on the blog again. I love being able to look back on Elle growing up through this blog and want to be able to do the same for our son. So here we go, let's catch up on 2012.
