Photo Shoot

Last weekend Elle and I spend some time in Newport enjoying the beautiful spring weather. Her aunt Heidi and I took the opportunity to do a little photo shoot with Miss Elle, outfit changes and all! She's such a little diva.

Well I guess this is growing up

Some people get a little sad when they see their babies get older or hit a particular milestone. They'll say "Oh, they grow up so fast... I wish she was still a little baby". While I agree time flies by I am so excited every time Elle is able to do something new. I love watching her roll over, taste new foods, giggle, give kisses, ect... I wouldn't want Elle to be a newborn now because then I wouldn't be able to see her smile and laugh. I cannot wait until she walks, talks, pouts, gives hugs, and hopefully be a big sister one day. We can't wait to see what Elle can do next.

5 Months

Miss Elle is 5 months old. Like I mentioned in the previous post she is rolling all over the place. She likes to hang out in her exersaucer, eats her feet and grabs everything in sight. She's started eating rice cereal and we are going to start her on other other solids soon. Elle is such a happy baby and loves to give everyone smiles.

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Elle has learned to roll over and nothing is stopping her. She gives us tons of smiles and her personality is finally starting to shine through. She loves to take walks. Between myself and all her grandmas she's covering miles and miles every day. The weather has been beautiful and Elle loves being outside. She's even got some cool shades to keep the sun out of her eyes (see pics below).

Elle is such a good baby I do not know how we got so lucky. She's really only cranky when she's hungry, dirty or tired. She falls a sleep consistently between 7-8pm and sleeps until 4-5am. She'll wake up, eat a bottle and then fall back asleep for another hour or so. Snuggling with her in the morning is my favorite time of the day.

She really like sitting up and seeing what's going on. She is sitting in her jumper and puts everything in her mouth. She will even put her feet in her mouth.

Valentine's Day

Again... a little late but here is Elle on Valentine's Day. We had fun dressing her up in some tutus. And how do you resist this feathery head piece? A gift from my girlfriend Christina. Our little sweetheart!

4 months

Here is Elle's 4 month picture. She is rolling from side to side (not over yet), she clasps her hands together and tries to put her whole fist in her mouth. She's really found her feet and will pull her socks off. She is all around a very happy baby. We are having so much fun with her!

Elle's Baptism

We were very excited to have Elle baptized this past weekend. She was baptized in the same church where we were married 3 years ago and where I was baptized 28 years ago. We were very fortunate to have a private baptism with Elle being the only baby baptized. It was a beautiful ceremony that we shared with our family and close friends. Elle's baptismal name is Marie, which was my grandmother's name. It was very special having my grandmother still be a part of the baptism, even if just in spirit. Elle did amazing, she slept through almost the whole thing!

After the baptism we went to Kirk and Susan's home for a little celebration. We enjoyed yummy treats including the all white dessert bar.

Being a Parent= Being Resourceful

When you become a parent you get very good at multi-tasking and being resourceful. I've learned that when it's just me and Elle my usual 45 min getting ready routine turns into 2 hours. Elle's pretty good at entertaining herself for about 5-10minutes this lamb seat so I can take a quick shower.
Last week Ryan left her lamb seat at her grandma's house so I had to figure out what I was going to do in order to hop in the shower. I don't like her out of my sight for that long when she's awake so I got creative and put this together...
